Golf de Pals, a Golfy Network partner and the oldest golf course on the Costa Brava, has incorporated a tee line on the driving range and has renewed the fixed markings on the 18 holes, as well as all the signage on the course. These improvements adapt to the current digitalization and improve your playing experience.
At the beginning of the summer, the practice facilities at the Pals Golf Course underwent a notable improvement with the incorporation of a tee line in the driving range thanks to the company, Armon Césped.
A feature that replaces conventional mats with a strip of highly durable artificial grass that improves the player’s feel when practising their shots. The tee line, in addition to improving the golfer’s game, creates continuity throughout the practice area, which allows for better use of space, less wear and tear and much more comfort. The continuity of the surface also helps to create a more attractive and aesthetically pleasing space.
From summer 2021, a contactless payment system has been integrated into the ball machine to make it more efficient to buy balls directly from the driving range, without having to go to the reception to buy tokens. This system has now been implemented with the vending machine to replace coins.
In addition, Pals Golf Club, with the collaboration of Diseyma Golf, has renewed the traditional fixed wooden markers with discs that are inserted in the grass tee line, and at the same time the signage of the whole course.
The player has a QR code on the disc which, when scanned with a mobile device, gives access to the map of each hole.
This new system allows the greenkeeping team to carry out maintenance more efficiently and to give a cleaner image of the course by eliminating the elements on the tees.
These investments and improvements will not be the only ones made this year, as GPS-equipped buggies will soon be available to further enhance the players’ experience on the golf course.
