It was during the French Senior Women’s Internationals that the Golf d’Aix Provence inaugurated the first part of its lit course!
From April 14th to 16th, the Golf d’Aix en Provence, partner of the Golfy Network, had the pleasure to welcome the French Senior Women’s Internationals, with the participation of Florence Gobert and Lisette Teihoarii, the two best French players.
It is finally the Belgian, Sylvie Van Molle who won this competition with a total of +16.
It was on this occasion that the official inauguration of the first part of the lighted golf course was held ! 5 holes are now illuminated and a second section is already planned for 2023, to propose a total of 9 holes playable at night! The Golf d’Aix en Provence becomes the very first golf course in France to offer a lighted course !
David Ginola, international footballer and French TV presenter, and his son Andréa, were the first to come and experience lighted golf. “A very nice experience, a few prejudices at the beginning but in the end the sensations are incredible. You can really see the ball going and coming back. Having only experienced this on a trip to Singapore, it’s a pleasure to be able to have access to this type of infrastructure again in France.” [David Ginola]
So if you too would like to experience a fun, friendly and entertaining night game of golf, come to the Golf d’Aix en Provence!
